I disconnected the remote from the fan and have hard-wired it to the ceiling, thus eliminating the remote control all together.. The wall switch will turn power to the light on and off, but I cannot get the remote to work the fan or the light.. You might want to try and hard-wire it to the ceiling the same way I did just to be sure.. The fan and lights worked just fine This tells me that it's definitely the remote that is the problem..
